Reading Borough Council Air Quality Action Plan

Reading Borough Council have written an action plan to tackle air pollution in Reading over the next five years and would like to know your views.

Our Air Quality Action Plan sets out measures the Council proposes to take to improve air quality in the borough between 2024-29.

Air pollution can seriously affect people’s health and their plan outlines actions which aim to benefit the wellbeing of residents, the environment and quality of life for their communities.

A public consultation on our Air Quality Action Plan 2024-29 started on 6th December 2023.
