Since launching in September 2020, we have created a network of over 300 people wanting to be part of the conversation. The primary focus is to offer support by creating opportunities through networking to discuss shared experiences and commonalities to support one another.
In 2022 our theme was diversity within the BPA Membership and across the Parking Sector. Working with the BPA’s Technology, Innovation and Research Department, the Women in Parking (WIP) advisory group is spearheading a diversity research project to help us understand the diversity breakdown within the sector. This project came from discussions with members during the WIP open meetings, highlighting the need for us all to see the bigger picture of what the challenges are and the steps we need to take as a sector to become more diverse and inclusive. The results of this project will be published soon.
For 2023 our theme will be Gender and Active Travel where we will be looking at what we can do to ensure our cities reflect the diversity of needs.
Over the next 12 months, we are looking to increase the network and have quarterly online meetings and create opportunities to network at BPA events.
